We welcomed more than 200 visitors from 46 countries on our stand. We enjoyed showing you our new CU Dynamic Plus pellet mill and the new feeding device for the Hammer mill.

We were extra proud to celebrate the launch of the “Virtual Tour”, a training tool developed in cooperation with the Poultry Expertise Centre.

We hope you had a great EuroTier as well.

Virtual tour: make an amazing walk through the feed mill of the future

Interesting and fun

Our world is changing rapidly, information is everywhere at all moments. Time to adsorb  information and store in in our own memory is missing more and more. How to transfer information in such a way that that it is stored in the memory of the users! The solution is simple. Make sure that the information is interesting and absorbing it is fun. This was the starting point when developing the “Virtual tour through the feed mill process”.

The feed mill of the future

Last year many of our clients visited a new feed mill built by Van Aarsen, showcasing our best available technology, engineering practices and machines. They came back with the reaction that this is really the feed mill of the future, impressive and educational.

Not everyone will be able to visit this feed mill. From sales perspective it is a challenge to show our customers how they can benefit from new innovations and how our machines can contribute to feed quality, reduction of total cost of ownership and energy savings.

Experts in education

At the same time we met the Poultry Expertise Centre. They were looking for a new and attractive way to educate their students about the internal process of a feed mill. Having similar challenges out of a different perspective the idea of an interactive training tool with “the feed mill of the future” in the lead arose.

Virtual tour

We linked together to establish this training tool called the “Virtual tour through the feed mill process”. By combining our strengths and cooperating closely together the result is a fantastic tool. An amazing walk through the feed mill of the future. Ready to use!

Van Aarsen. The vital link to your feed chain

As van Aarsen we are delighted to contribute to this tool. It will be used by the Poultry Expertise Centre in their training programs. We will be using it in the personal contact with our customers.

We want to be a Vital link to the feed chain. As such we hope that many students will use this tool to learn more about the feed mill process and become part of the future of the agro feed chain all around the world.

Kombikorma article about Agroeco

In the KombiKorma of January 2016 Van Aarsen is mentioned in a rather large article concerning the Feed mill build for Agroeco.

Since this article is solely available in Russian we provided a summary in English, please see below.

KombiKorma_Jan_2016_cover_Page_1

NEW AGROECO FEED MILL: BIO-SAFETY IS THE TOP PRIORITY

Agroeco group of companies was founded in 2009. And today it consists of 5 modern production facilities with the capacity of 650K pigs (or 78K tons of live pork) annually. 6 more pig farms will be commissioned in 2016.

Last year in June a new feed mill was commissioned in Voronezh region (Talovaya). Its main task is to provide safe clean feed for Agroeco pig farms. The feed mill capacity is 290K tons per year.
Our correspondent visited this feed mill and talked to the feed mill managers. She was surprised to see such a modern feed mill in Russian province. The building colour (corporate green) attracts attention from distance. The top priority in production is feed safety and quality. Raw materials and finished feed follow different routes which never cross. For safety reasons it is prohibited for all the company employees to have pigs in their household. As a compensation they can buy pork from the company at the production cost. Agroeco uses its own recipes depending on pig breed and productivity.

Raw material intake. Grain storage.

Daily raw material intake starts with sample taking from trucks. The grain storage has a capacity of 90K tons, of which at the moment 60 K tons are used. This section consists of 12 metal silos (5K tons each) providing 2 months stock. Meal materials are stored in 16 silos with vibrating bottoms, temperature indicators and active ventilation. Two separate intake lines allow to intake 2 different products at a time, e.g. barley and wheat. Therefore, there are two cleaning lines, two drying lines and 2 transport lines to the feed mill.

Feed production

Process and transport equipment for the feed mill is supplied by the world-famous manufacturer – Van Aarsen (the Netherlands). It was chosen from a number of potential suppliers because of the optimal “price-quality’ ratio. Van Aarsen supplied everything up to electric cables.
Cleaned raw materials are transported to the feed mill building via 3 transport lines. Below the raw material silos there are 4-, 2- and 1-ton weighers. Dosing is performed with both screws and dosing slides. For micro dosing SID and MID units (each for 8 components) are used. The system is compact and occupies little space. It is planned to extend the micro dosing section with an extra MID+PID unit.
For grinding 2 hammer mills (20 t/h each) are used. For mixing a 2-shaft 4-ton mixer is used, which provides 99% mixing homogeneity. After the mixer product goes to 2 pelleting lines with C900 pellet mills (20t/h capacity each). Die diameter varies from 2,2 to 4,5 mm.
After cooling pellets go either to 24 finished feed silos or to one of the two coating lines.
Process and transport equipment is provided with magnets and spot filters for industrial safety. Aspiration systems are also supplied by Van Aarsen.
New Van Aarsen automation system controls the whole process.
Due to the pig farm facility increase it has been decided to extend the feed mill with a new production line supplied also by Van Aarsen.

Finished feed off-loadingagroeco_rusland_4-260x185

2 operators control finished feed off-loading. Finished feed off-loading with pneumatic loading bellows is completely automatic.

Laboratory control

Quality and safety control of raw materials and finished feed is performed at all the production stages from the intake to off-loading. The laboratory is equipped according to the latest standards.
As a conclusion: the feed mill in Talovaya is a complete facility with its own infrastructure, providing continuous operation.
Agroeco is a young, but ambitious company, which has achieved noticeable results within a few years and nowadays it is among the three leading companies in terms of costs, production output and quality. Considering the company development pace we wonder whether Agroeco would stop with only 1 feed mill in Talovaya?

Exhibition Victam Asia in Bangkok

Last April we attended the Victam Asia exhibition in Bangkok Thailand.
During this exhibition, we successfully introduced our new CU Pellet mill in Asia. About 350 existing and new customers from 23 countries have visited our stand which resulted in 60 leads. Furthermore Mr. Jos van de Berg sold the first two CU Dynamic Pellet mills in this region.
Such an exhibition is also the ideal opportunity to strengthen ties with our agents in the region.

The evening before the fair we organized a training for all our agents present which was a success.
The next day everybody was present at the stand to help as much as much customers as possible.

Milling_GrainIssueJuneUntitled

As a result of our presence, the introduction of the Pellet mill and the successful symposium of Jos van de Berg,
we got great coverage in Milling and Grain June edition Volume 127 issue 6.
The issue is online available if you are interested please have a look at the following pages:

  • pages 42-43 a description of the Pelletmill in the Special Product Focus articles.
  • page 53 our half page advert and
  • page 107 an interview with Maril van Kempen.

Our representatives: Patrick Beckers, Nabil Noeh, Bashir Omar and John Lawton.

The goal was toe re-energise Van Aarsen in the Middle East.

To show, prove and convince that Van Aarsen is the partner for innovative feed manufacturing technology.

The team had the opportunity to introduce themselves and Van Aarsen to al great number of visitors.

Van Aarsen at the Cereals Mixed Feed in Moscow

During the Cereals Mixed Feed in Moscow in January 2016 we had the opportunity to welcome lots of familiar faces next to several new acquaintances.

Since our presence in Russia is known and our link to our customers is strong, several took this opportunity to visit us during the exhibition. This enables us to strengthen the relationship even further.
